A lecture series in partnership withObservatoire de Paris - PSL.
To coincide with the "Taking the Sun" exhibition, Observatoire de Paris - PSL and Hangar Y are organizing a series of conferences dedicated to the Sun. Three times of exchange to unravel the mysteries of this star that is so familiar to us, but still holds so many mysteries. In 60 minutes, researchers and astrophysicists share the keys to a better understanding of our Sun and the major scientific issues surrounding its observation and study.

This lecture is preceded by a sun observation in the Hangar Y park (weather permitting) from 12pm to 3pm.
About Observatoire de Paris - PSL
Founded in 1667, the Observatoire de Paris - PSL is spread over three sites: Paris, Meudon and Nançay. As a public institution, it is responsible for fundamental and applied research, higher education and the sharing of knowledge in disciplines related to the sciences of the Universe and astronomy.
The Observatoire de Paris - PSL, a scientific partner of the exhibition, has been making daily observations of the Sun's surface at its Meudon site for over a hundred years. It boasts a unique collection of over one hundred thousand images, spread over ten cycles of solar activity.
