bookOn the occasion of the 41e edition of the European Heritage Days, Hangar Y has designed a program that echoes and pays tribute to the building, its architecture and its history through the eyes of artists, and invites you to immerse yourself in the extraordinary richness of this heritage site rooted in the history of Meudon and its 10 hectares of unique natural space.
Come and discover (or rediscover) this extraordinary place, at the heart of a program that honours the link between the exploits of the past and human ingenuity, and celebrates the beauty of creation. On the program: a new show by artist Zoé Vayssières, guided heritage tours and an immersive experience.

Show: 100-word portrait of Hangar Y
Artist Zoé Vayssières has selected 100 words from thousands produced by an AI fed with multiple resources on Hangar Y. 100 words symbolizing the site's past, present and future, which will gradually take over the great nave.
The performance will be followed by a discussion with the artist.

Come and discover the history of the Hangar Y site, from the construction of the Bassin de Chalais, designed by Le Nôtre as part of the grand perspective of the Château de Meudon in the 17th century, through the first airship flight in 1884, to the rehabilitation project that led to its reopening in spring 2023.

Sensory audio guide "The Crossing
La Traversée is a self-guided sound tour of the Hangar Y park, using bone conduction* technology and light headphones worn in front of the ears.
Using your smartphone, the audioguide takes you on a guided tour of 6 sculptures and art installations, combining voice-over with the enchanting melody of a flute. More than an audio tour, La Traversée is a sensory experience. Ready to discover contemporary sculpture in a whole new way?

The Hangar Y Epic" immersive experience
An immersive experience that plunges you into the magic of Hangar Y's past! The mixed-reality experience retraces the site's heyday: from the design of the airshipLa France airship to its first launch on August 9, 1884, by aeronautical engineers Charles and Paul Renard and Arthur Krebs. The 30-minute experience is deployed in the hangar's nave.

Exhibition of the 2022 winners
of the Adélie Barbe Prize, supporting emerging artists
To coincide with the European Heritage Days, the Hangar Y is building bridges between the past and the present by hosting the award ceremony for the 2024 winners and the exhibition of the 2022 winners of the Adélie Barbe Prize for emerging artists: "Je ne sais pas bien ce que ça veut dire (mais je voulais t'en parler)" ("I'm not sure what it means (but I wanted to tell you)"). Free to discover at the Atelier du Hangar Y from September 20 to 22.
