Imagine l’odeur de ta planète

Book

With the ambition to develop strong links with the cultural actors of the territory, the Hangar Y invites a textile designer and a nose, residents at JAD, thegarden of Art and Design in Sèvres, to conceive a cycle of three workshops, each initiating an original dialogue with a work of the inaugural exhibition.

Embark on a scientific, textile and olfactory exploration of the planets!

Threads and perfumes, fluid and evanescent, have in common to follow the movement of the air. This invisible link, at first sight, is the starting point of this series of workshops echoing the exhibition "In the air, flying machines". Do planets have smells? How do they circulate in a context where air is almost non-existent? The children explore the scents of space, based on the feelings of spacemen and scientific studies, by shaping scented threads designed for the occasion: they embroider fictitious planets, weave Mars as well as rockets and weave the antennas of the Sputnik satellite.

From 6 years old, Saturdays from 10am to 12pm and from 3pm to 5pm and Sundays from 3pm to 5pm from April 8th.

In case of known sensitivity to perfume, please inform the animation team.
This workshop is not suitable for children under 6 years old.
